Larrissa has built her career by standing beside letter carriers when the work matters most. In 2018, she was appointed as a Regional Workers’ Compensation Assistant (RWCA), helping members in Regions 3, 5, and 7 navigate on-the-job injury claims with knowledge and dedication.

In 2021, she was appointed as a Regional Administrative Assistant (RAA) for Region 5, serving Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas. As RAA, Larrissa is responsible for fielding daily phone calls from members, stewards, and branch officers requiring assistance. She also leads the Joint Workplace Improvement Process (JWIP) as well as the New Employee Experience, Retention and Mentoring Program (NEERMP) for Region 5. In addition, Larrissa coordinates and educates members through various in person trainings, including Region 5 Steward College.

Her leadership experience extends from the branch level to the state and regional levels, giving her a practical understanding of the issues members and officers face every day. From 2016 to 2018, Larrissa served on a committee assisting with rewriting bylaws for the NALC Auxiliary. In 2024 and 2025, she assisted Branch Officer training and in the day-to-day responsibilities and with various projects supporting Assistant Secretary Treasurer Mack Julion and Secretary Treasurer Nicole Rhine. This work prepared Larrissa for the position of Assistant Secretary Treasurer and effectively ensures her ability to do the fundamental duties immediately, if elected.

Larrissa has been a facilitator for the Leadership Academy for over 5 years and feels fortunate to educate those members how to be a strong advocate and give back to the letter carriers and our Union. Effective union leadership requires empathy, resilience, strength, sound judgment, and strategic skills. Larrissa brings those qualities to every role she accepts, along with strong communication, proven experience, and a deep commitment to service.  As NALC Assistant Secretary-Treasurer, she will work to protect the interests of members, support strong union administration, and help prepare the next generation of carriers and leaders through education, example, and accountability.
